GROWING a social enterprise at local level, yet with national support
The inclusion of the existing Egino Emerging gardens in Incredible Edible's 2021 book Seeds to Solutions, was a recognition of local growers' hard work and persistence. From this developed the prospect of wider application across more public land, and the possibility of a large vermiculture project.
The book, and all who participated in it, have been widely lauded, from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall to members of the House of Lords. One of the great benefits to Incredible Edible gardens of being a contributor to Seeds to Solutions has been the opportunities that have resulted. Egino Emerging has strengthened its community platform and widened its national support.
